Coach,
ReplyDeleteYour plan seems personalized and descriptive. This, particularly with respect to the evaluation of Mimio and Study Island. Since we are working on implementing an enrichment period 6-12 for the upcoming school year, I would appreciate your thoughts. I would caution you against moving forward in your plan component to be an active participant in board meetings.
Respectfully,
SEG
Thanks for your comment I really appreciate it. I guess I should reword it. By active I do not mean taking part in the board business. Instead I mean that I want to be there mentally, not just physically. I do see where that wording could cause some concern. Thanks for your help!
ReplyDeleteI was also concerned with the wording. The only place you can really talk is during the "Hear from Citizens" portion. They really frown on unsolicited comments.
ReplyDeleteMy other question concerned this "Form and lead a team of teachers for the purpose of improving writing – both test scores and student submitted." What did you mean by both test scores and student submitted?
By student submitted I am hoping to see the quality of writing improve in our day to day classwork. I believe our students need to be doing more writing in class in order to get the needed practice. It was not too long ago that we had a "writing across the curriculum" movement going. With test scores in ELA being low, I would not be surprised to hear that again.
